Goji Berry Smoothie

Goji Berries are very high in vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and amino acids. It’s said that Goji Berries slow down the aging proces thanks to the high ratio of anti-oxidants. But besides it’s health benefits the goji berry is very tasty as well!

Nowadays there is a variety of supplements with goji’s but I think it’s best to enjoy ‘the real deal’; a handful of goji’s mixed with some nuts as a snack, as a topping for a pancake or, like in this recipe, mixed into a smoothie! The goji berries give this smoothie a nice sweet flavour.


Goji Berry Smoothie

  • 3 tbsp goji berries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 1 banana
  • handful of (frozen) forest fruit
  • 200 ml coconut water

Soak the goji berries in the coconut water overnight (or for a couple of hours). Add all the ingredients to a blender or a mixing cup and blend into a creamy smoothie.
