Sweet & Spicy Pepitas

 Spices are a great addition to your meals. They not only give a flavour boost to your dish, spices also boost up your metabolism and digestion! These Sweet & Spicy pepitas make a fantastic snack! Pepitas (pumpkin seeds) don’t cost much and they’re very healthy, providing you with fibers, vitamins and minerals. The pepitas also support protection against infections from fungi, bacteria and viruses. You’ll only need a few ingredients to make these Sweet & Spicy Pepitas; some pumpkin seeds, honey, salt, cayenne and paprika powder is all it takes!

Sweet & Spicy Pepitas

  • 100 grams of pumpkin seeds (about 1 cup)
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp of paprika powder
  • dash of sea salt or himalayan salt

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celcius. Mix all the ingredients well. Spread out onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Let it totally cool down before breaking it into pieces (you can put it in the fridge or freezer for a while to speed up the proces).

Store in an airtight container.
