Found out that fresh figs were on sale at the supermarket yesterday. Couldn’t resist buying some, although this kind of messed up the meals I had planned already. Well, we’ll figure something out! 😉
Decided to use two of the figs in a delicious breakfast smoothie this morning. The soft sweetness of the figs goes great with chocolate I think, so I added a little of that to the smoothie as well.
Added some oats and avocado to make the smoothie more savoury and satiating.
Chocolate Fig Smoothie.
- 2 fresh figs
- 1/2 (frozen) banana
- 1/2 avocado
- handful of (frozen) raspberries
- tbsp of cacao powder
- tbsp of maple sirup
- 2 heaping spoons of oats
- 250 ml of milk (I used unsweetened soy milk)
Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth.
